back at the colonial palace. is it strange that this noisy little place seems almost like home?
we got in late last night. our bus from puno was (in theory) very comfortable. the seats fully reclined and were not too hard. so the fact that i only squeaked out about an hour of sleep on the 6 hour ride was a disappointment.
puno and lake titicaca during the trip north
they did treat us to some movies though and i can now add the thrilling dirk benedict/charlton heston vehicle, "alaska" to my list of worst movies ever made. if you ever get the chance to see it shoot yourself in the foot instead.
anyway, i probably wasted my last night in south america by going straight to bed last night, but as of right now, it was worth it. this was one of the best night's sleep i've had all week. well, our last half day will no doubt consist of packing a trying to get rid of all of our soles. shouldn't be too hard. i know a place where we can buy a lot of finger puppets.
sunburn update:
no pain. my face has mostly peeled. my right hand looks like freddy krueger.
